About Amla Extract

A natural herb that is gaining attention for its hair growth effects is "Amla."

Amla is considered the most potent herb for invigorating properties in Ayurveda, and in India, it is also known by the name "Keshya" (meaning hair) due to its excellent effects on hair growth. It adds strength and volume to thin hair, revitalizes the scalp, and transforms stiff, unruly hair into smooth, beautiful hair.

Nowadays, it is widely used in Japanese-made shampoos and hair growth products.

Amla powder is also beneficial for hair, promoting healthy hair growth. It is suitable for all hair types, and since amla is rich in vitamins, it not only improves strength and volume but also enhances shine and is expected to help prevent graying and hair loss. Additionally, it has skin-beautifying effects, making it very gentle on the scalp. The scalp tends to produce and accumulate sebum, but the polyphenols in amla help cleanse oxidized sebum that clogs the scalp.

The history of Amla

The history of Amla is ancient, dating back over 3,000 years, and it has been cherished as the "fruit of rejuvenation."

In India, the birthplace of Ayurveda, Amla has long been consumed daily as a fruit beneficial for health and has also been used for medicinal purposes.

In Sanskrit, it means "nurse," and from its etymology, it is clear that it is very beneficial for health.

The components of Amla

Polyphenols

Since it contains a rich amount of polyphenols, including β-glucagorin, it has antioxidant properties. In 100g of amla juice, it contains 3000mg (30 times the amount in red wine) and 500mg (10 times the amount in lemon) respectively.

To prevent aging, it is crucial to control oxidation, and therefore, amla is expected to have anti-aging effects.

Furthermore, it has been confirmed that the polyphenols contain a large amount of hydrolyzable tannins, such as ellagic tannins, and organic acid gallates.

Vitamin

Amla contains a rich amount of Vitamin C, just like polyphenols, which helps to activate white blood cells.

In addition, Amla is rich in pectin, a type of dietary fiber, and contains various essential minerals such as iron, which are vital for our body.

As a result of containing various components like this, research has reported findings suggesting that Amla has antioxidant and anti-glycation effects for beauty and anti-aging, as well as improvements in lipid and cholesterol levels, and vascular function for health.
